Physiotherapy

The Department of Physiotherapy gives people the opportunity to regain control of their lives. Many patients who have suffered for years with chronic pain and impaired functionality are able to find dramatic hope and recovery.
The focus of our physiotherapy program is to improve the individual’s quality of life by alleviating pain and increasing his tolerance for activity.
At IBP it is part of a student’s educational program and helps with posture, balance and safe independent mobility.
Our physiotherapy unit uses imported state of the art equipment including gait trainers, walkers, positioning equipment, Swiss therapy balls, orthopedic equipment, ambulation equipment and electro-therapy equipment.

Who would benefit

A wide variety of people can benefit from physiotherapy, including those with:

  • Work related injuries such as low back problems or repetitive stress injuries.
  • Individuals with limitations following a stroke or heart attack.
  • Serious chronic conditions such as arthritis or multiple sclerosis.
  • Birth injuries or developmental disabilities.
  • Burns, spinal cord injuries, or amputations.
  • Broken bones or other injuries from falls, sports injuries or accidents.
  • Injuries acquired on job, in motor vehicle accidents and other related traumas.
